Web Series to invade Marseille!

Web Series to invade Marseille!
16 October 2014 - 18 September 2014 / Média
The Marseille Web Fest web series festival is set to be a hive of creativity and networking

Three days entirely dedicated to web series are being prepared for October 16, 17 and 18, 2014, at the World Trade Center Marseille Provence. Headlining this fourth edition of the Marseille Web Fest will be 25 web series from the four corners of the planet (Australia, Ghana, Denmark, New Zealand, Italy, USA…), plus conferences presented by international film makers and producers.

This year, the event has an added bonus in the form of the Marseille Web Talks, an exceptional day of keynote speeches and round tables for professionals organized by the PRIMI Mediterranean Transmedia Center on October 16 in the presence of the event’s partners (broadcasters, media, sponsors…). The same day, pitch sessions with Warner Bros. Digital and TelFrance Network will enable 5 pre-selected projects to get themselves noticed.
There’s still time before the September 15 deadline to submit your pitch application!

Provence Promotion, sponsor from the very start of the adventure, is once again supporting the event. The agency and its partners will be on hand to present the location aid measures available for audiovisual and multimedia businesses wishing to set up in the region. The “new media content market”, a showcase for broadcasters, communication executives, telephone operators and brand content managers, will be the ideal forum in which to exchange ideas and make new contacts.

Sign of the enormous creative talent behind the web video format and its growing potential, the Marseille Web Fest’s official jury will be awarding prizes to the best productions in five categories.

The first Web Fest, held in Los Angeles in 2010, was the brainchild of Michael Ajakwe, whose aim was to form a worldwide community of web series producers. The following year, 2011, saw the first edition take place in Marseille. Since then, Imago Production has put together a permanent partnership to both showcase web series and the region as magnet and crucible for new web series talent.
