09 March 2022 / Grow your business, invest in provence

Overview of changes, supply and the latest projects

MIPIM, one of the largest international events for real estate professionals, will take place this year in Cannes from March 15 to 18, 2022. Good attendance is expected for the show, as it returns in full force this March, after two editions affected by the health crisis.

The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis and Euroméditerranée, the Port of Marseille Fos, the Marseille Provence Airport and Provence Promotion, will set up at the Palais des Festivals to promote the region together.

Gathered at stand R7-E57 in Hall 7 Riviera, under the One Provence banner, they will present the current changes in the market and the latest projects in progress. Provence Promotion, at the initiative of an "Invest in France" conference with Business France, will address foreign investors, alongside the metropolises of Lyon, Paris, Grenoble, Lille and Nice-Côte d'Azur/Sophia-Antipolis.

MIPIM, the largest trade show for real estate professionals, will soon open its doors in Cannes. The event is eagerly awaited by the real estate world and the regions, for whom it is an occasion to showcase their land and real estate offers. Organizers are preparing to welcome over 17,000 visitors from 70 countries.

Developers, investors and operators will get up to speed on new trends since the crisis, as hybrid work prompts users to gradually modify their projects. The future of workplaces is looking more virtuous from an energy and sustainable point of view, and is moving towards more collective work spaces and employee well-being. Real estate strategies are evolving and Aix-Marseille is positioning itself as a new alternative to capital cities.

At stand R7-E57, hosted by the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis in Hall 7 Riviera, four key partners promoting the region's economic appeal will be gathered under the One Provence banner:

  • The Euroméditerranée Urban Development Agency’s which is leading Europe's biggest downtown urban development project, covering 1,200 acres in Marseille, where many projects are in the works and will see the light of day in the next two years.

  • The Port of Marseille Fos, a major player in international trade, which offers a strong position to companies for their maritime, logistics and industrial activities and which launched in October 2021 a coordinated approach to new development in the industrial port area of Fos by 2040: OAZIP 2040.

  • Marseille Provence Airport, the leading regional airport for express freight and the third largest in passenger volume, which serves more than 100 destinations in France and abroad and whose goal is to grow while controlling its environmental impact.

  • Provence Promotion, an economic attraction agency whose mission is to approach growing companies looking for a destination as part of a relocation outside the capital or opening of a subsidiary in the south of France.

To attend a presentation of the opportunities offered by the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis alongside local elected officials, all these partners invite you to stop by the stand on Tuesday, Wednerdey 16, at 3:30 p.m.. This sequence will be followed by a press briefing and the day will end with a tasting of Grand Cru wines from Provence.
