The European Transport and Logistics Event

Innovation is the keyword

The International Transport and Logistics Week (SITL) this year is being held at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center from March 27 to 30. The gathering of industry professionals will take place on an 11-acre site housing 900 exhibitors and is expected to attract some 45,000 visitors.

In addition to the hundred or so conferences and workshops available, the SITL this year is innovating with four themed pavilions, organized around different areas of expertise that address issues facing the industry’s members today:  e-commerce, safety and security, planning and scheduling and river transport. Lastly, the RFID University and Eco Transport & Logistics Exhibition will add to the expertise clusters represented at the SITL.

A synergy of all the region’s economic players

Provence Promotion, with its partners the PACA Logistics Cluster, Euroméditerranée, SAN Ouest Provence, Vaucluse Développement, Compagnie Nationale du Rhône, the Marseille-Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Grand Port Maritime de Marseille (Marseilles port authority), will be on-hand to promote the Bouches-du-Rhône département, unique in France as an intermodal transport hub.  More than ever, Provence is staking its claim as a mecca for logistics, with the significant expansion of Maisons du Monde, the setting up of Mattel and the forthcoming commissioning of FOS2XL in 2012 and proving its attractiveness to the industry’s international majors.

Far from being a mere showcase, the SITL is also an opportunity for Provence Promotion to set up B2B meetings with all the logistics sector players.
