An Interview with Vassili Meimaris

It’s no coincidence that the PACA region has such an important place in cinematographic history, since it was here that the Lumière brothers’ film “L'arrivée d'un train à La Ciotat” had its first public screening in 1896. The legend continues in Provence to this day, although it has faced increasing competition over the past few decades. Consequently, the PACA Regional Council and local industry stakeholders are working to counter this trend. Vassili Meimaris, who oversees the PACA region’s network of 13 location shooting offices and independent film commissions, tells us more.
