The Aix-Marseille-Provence metro aera unveils its real estate projects at MIPIM
02 September 2021 / invest in provence

In partnership with Euroméditerranée, the Port of Marseille-Fos and Provence Promotion

The Cannes International Market for Real Estate Professionals (MIPIM) is a highly anticipated event for september. After postponements and cancellations, this 2021 edition will be an opportunity to reconnect face-to-face with the network and to attend conferences on developments in the market since the pandemic.

Provence Promotion will be working alongside the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, as well as Euroméditerranée and Marseille-Fos Port, to welcome visitors and to discuss the future of the workplace and the new expectations of companies in terms of offices, business premises and warehouses. See you on September 7 and 8 on the One Provence stand P3-B52!

The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis will be exhibiting under the One Provence banner at MIPIM, together with Euroméditerranée, Marseille-Fos Port and Provence Promotion.

The region, which is at the crossroads of Europe and Africa, naturally attracts companies that want to develop internationally and also benefit from a strategic location with excellent connectivity. Already ranked as the 9th digital hub worldwide, Aix-Marseille is preparing to further increase its connection speed with the arrival of new subsea cables. A major advantage given the digitalization challenges faced by companies that have been accelerated by teleworking.

Business real estate must adapt

Within the context of these transformations that are shaking up the market, over a year ago Provence Promotion began to look at the future of the workplace in partnership with the Association des Directeurs Immobiliers (ADI) and Euroméditerranée.

Putting questions to managers, holding regular discussions with real estate professionals, and looking at new concepts that are in the pipeline, this approach can teach us a great deal for the future. For this reason, Provence Promotion and its partners wanted to propose a round-table discussion on this theme at MIPIM.

In collaboration with Choose Paris Region, Hello Lille, Team Côte d'Azur and Grenoble Alpes, this discussion will be entitled "The futur of workplaces" and will take place on Wednesday, September 8 at 11 am in the Verrière Grand Auditorium. It will be hosted by Sandra Roumi, President of Business Immo, with a conclusion from Jacques Perpère, General Secretary in charge of Future Planning for ADI and Head of Real Estate for Airbus Group.

Innovative initiatives

To share their vision of the future of the real estate market, each territory will be accompanied by a partner who shapes this new offer, which is adapted to both environmental and societal challenges:

  • WeWork will present the work carried out with Choose Paris Region to enable Dentsu Consulting, a world leader in communication, to outsource its head office within a context of teleworking.
  • Newton Offices will show how, with the support of Hello Lille, it intends to link the northern metropolis with 3 flex office centers to offer a choice of work addresses in the areas where employees live.
  • The Babel Community will present new greenfield business establishments, achieved with Provence Promotion, by associating the largest coliving and coworking residences in France in the centers of Marseilles and Aix-en-Provence.
  • ARM, the world number 1 for mobile processors, will present its innovative work on a new-generation campus home to 400 people, set up in Sophia Antipolis with the support of Team Côte d'Azur to implement a building under the global "Well Building Standard".
  • Digital Photo Group, a growing Grenoble-based SME, specializing in photo books and large-format prints under the Photoweb brand, which, as a result of the health context, has chosen not to expand its offices but to innovate in the renovation of its existing premises and in its working methods (teleworking and Flex office – managerial changes).

Two highlights on the One Provence stand

In order to convey the territory's appeal, several events will be organized on the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis stand:

Tuesday, September 7 at 5:30 pm

Presentation of the benchmark study "Why Invest in Aix-Marseille-Provence?" in the presence of representatives of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, and Hugues Parant, Managing Director of Euroméditerranée.

Conducted by EY, a leading international financial audit and consulting firm, and JLL, the world leader in real estate consulting and services for professionals, this study highlights 12 reasons why companies should come and invest in the region.
