After Telecom Corridor’s visit to Provence, it’s the turn of Provence Promotion to be invited to Richardson in Texas

Between March 4 and 6 2013, the representative of Telecom Corridor, the major Dallas-based ICT cluster, carried out an exploratory mission to the Provence region.

In organizing this first trip to the region, Provence Promotion mobilized a number of its partners, with the SCS competitive cluster and various firms presenting their respective business activities in areas of mutual interest with a view to promoting future collaboration.

The first contact leading up to this trip was made during a targeted business development mission undertaken by Provence Promotion in 2012. During that visit, ICT project manager Stéphane Ghio had highlighted the advantages offered by Provence and invited Telecom Corridor’s executive director Mike Skelton to come to meet local companies and professionals.

Telecom Corridor is an area renowned throughout the world for its high concentration of high-tech enterprises from a variety of telecom-related sectors including RFID, software and wireless technologies. Industry majors such as Verizon, Cisco,  Ericsson and Samsung Mobile have set up here to take advantage of the vitality created by the nearby University of Texas at Dallas, one of the leading American universities in the field of ICT.

As part of an upcoming mission across the United States taking place between May 22 and 28 2013, Provence Promotion will, in turn, be visiting Telecom Corridor, located near Richardson in northern Texas. Following up on the contacts already made, the visit aims to identify opportunities for partnerships and companies in the growth phase with plans to expand internationally into the European market.
