Multiple technology platforms
The region is home to more than 150 optical instrument platforms (with laser spectrometer, machine, materials diagnostics, 500 watt lasers, radioactive surface decontamination…) including:
- A space platform hosted at the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille (LAM)
- A micro-machining platform by femtosecond laser (PMU) hosted by the Lasers, Plasmas et Procédés Photoniques (LP3) Laboratory
- A cathodic spray platform for 2 meter optics (PACA2M) hosted by the company Cilas
