Training and education

The highest level of specialized training

All types of vocational and academic training are available in the region: Brevets d’Etudes Professionnelles, Baccalauréats professionnels, Brevets de Techniciens Supérieures, Diplômes Universitaires de Technologie, Licences professionnelles and Masters degrees.
 
-          Training at the Institut National des Sciences et Techniques Nucléaires (INSTN – CEA: National Institute for Nuclear Science and Techniques) in Saint-Paul-lez-Durance. Graduates obtain a Technological University degree (DUT) or one of 6 Masters program degrees.
 
-          Launch of a “Fusion Sciences” Masters program:
Ten universities or post-secondary educational institutes were involved in the creation of this new Masters program, including the Ecole Polytechnique and the three universities in Provence.
   
The program trains French or foreign engineers or physicists to work in the development and operation of fusion machines.

This Master program is open to forty students per year and offers three majors: magnetic fusion, inertial fusion and physics and fusion technology. www.sciences-fusion.fr
