Eurobiomed cluster
The merger of Orpheme competitive cluster and the Bioméditerranée and Holobiosud, associations gave birth to the Eurobiomed cluster which covers the regions of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Languedoc-Roussillon. Eurobiomed is also labeled competitive cluster. It is divided into 4 areas including one dedicated to medical devices and bio-engineering.
The objective of the center is to bring together the scientific and economic players of the health sector on the Mediterranean coast and to:
- develop innovative joint research projects
- help create jobs
- increase the visibility and exposure of the sector
- promote the attractivity of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur and Languedoc Roussillon regions
The cluster includes a network of 160 companies and 220 public and private laboratories and brings together 9,000 researchers.
