The Marseille-Fos port
As the first port in France and the Mediterranean, the Marseille-Fos port hosts naval repair and maintenance activities in a variety of forms, mostly for the pleasure cruising ship industry.
SEMIDEP
SEMIDEP is the planning and management organization for DIAM, the Domaine d’Industries et d’Activités Maritimes (Maritime Industry & Activities Center), located in the former shipyards of La Ciotat. DIAM launched this organization specialized in the luxury yachting industry with some of the most renowned names in the Mediterranean. Equipped with massive lifting gear including a 2000-ton capacity yacht lift, SEMIDEP brings together all professionals of the industry.
The Riviera Yachting Network (RYN)
The RYN is specialized in luxury and professional yachting and has 80 members, including:
- private individuals
- boat captains
- winter-port and site managers
- service-providers
- forty sub-contractors representing naval construction and repair activities (interior decorating, etc.)
The RYN focuses on the following missions:
- organization of the industry (employment / training)
- competitive intelligence
- promotion of skills and expertise
- building awareness of regional economic impact with local authorities
