Logistics

What makes us different ?

A wide and diversified choice of sites

The Bouches-du-Rhône département has a number of well-located sites suitable for distribution hub developments. These vast, flat land areas at Fos-sur-Mer, Grans-Miramas and Saint-Martin-de-Crau feature an outstanding soil bearing capacity.

For storage and distribution units, other zones offer smaller lots and/or suitable facilities.

These zones specializing in logistics are expanding:

Distriport platform at Fos-sur-Mer
Located in the Fos seaport and industrial zone, the nearly 450-acre Distriport is reserved exclusively for distribution centers and takes advantage of the nearby container terminal's excellent rail links. In response to growing demand and the increase in traffic due to the opening of new container terminals, the Port of Marseilles has approved a 250-acre extension to the Distriport platform. The extension will be used to house a further 5.8 million square feet of warehouse space.
Fologia, Katoen Natie, Kuehne & Nagel, Léon Vincent, Mory EGL, SDV and Sicatec are among the companies that have chosen to set up on the site.

Clésud intermodal hub at Grans-Miramas
On its 690-acre site less than 2 miles from the north-south and east-west freeway interchange, Clésud includes a warehousing area, a services center and a 150-acre intermodal transfer depot for road-rail transport.
The hub is linked by rail to the Miramas marshalling yard, the second largest in France.
Clésud residents include Alinea, Doumenge, Gifi, ID Logistics, Lorafret, Maisons du Monde, Nortene and Rexel to name but a few.

Saint-Martin-de-Crau intermodal hub
Ideally located on the road linking Spain and Italy, the Saint-Martin-de-Crau hub is set up on a 375 acre-site close to a freeway interchange. A rail link and the availability of private sidings are further features of its competitive service offer.
The St-Martin-de-Crau hub has attracted companies such as Aldis Sud-Est, Carnivor, Castorama, Distribike, Katoen Natie, Maisons du Monde, Métro, ND Logistique and Office Depot.

-  Marseille-Provence International Airport hub
The 1400-acre airport site houses 3 cargo terminals and 5 express freight warehouses.
Aérofrigo, an ultra-modern cold store facility, provides storage for all types of perishable goods. Marseille-Provence is France's n° 2 airport for freight and is open 24/7. It benefits from the ideal Provencal climate and provides extremely competitive operating costs.
Chronopost, DHL, TNT, Jet Service, and TAT Express have all chosen Marseille-Provence airport as their base for international operations.

-  Arles river/short sea hub
Arles river port is the largest river/short-sea port on the Saône-Rhône waterway system, with a 100-acre logistics zone adjoining the port facilities. The available lots can be equipped with rail sidings to receive full-length freight trains.
The port's business center houses representatives of the entire logistics chain.
Arles port is ideal for short-sea operations and longer coastal services within the Mediterranean and Europe and to Africa.
Agrofino, Cimalit, Redland and Sud Engrais Distribution already operate from the hub.
