Specialized training and a highly qualified workforce

An indicator of the strength of the regional chemical industry is the easy access to a well qualified local workforce. More than 40 local programs train graduates who can earn all types of degrees, from vocational degrees (Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnel – CAP) to Engineering and PhD degrees.

Long academic programs offered by Universities and Grandes Ecoles d'Ingénieurs (Engineering Schools) focus on the industry’s core competencies and skills using complementary methods of teaching and research. The shorter training programs are also renowned and targeted to specific industry needs.
