The Annual Event for Light-Based TechnologiesEach year, the world-renowned Photonics West exhibition brings together the cream of the optics and photonics sectors. Last year, 2011, saw a record attendance with 6243 exhibitors and 19,390 visitors.
For Provence Promotion, which is wholly committed to promoting the optics sector in Provence, it’s the place to be! The project manager for the sector, Laurence Soldermann, will be attending the event as a visitor and linking up with our partner, the POPsud / Optitec competitive cluster, in the France pavilion.
For the economic development agency, this new edition of the Photonics West show is an opportunity to go and meet the industry’s major players to highlight the Provence region’s potential, with its new flagship the Hotel TECHNOPTIC, and seek out opportunities for academic or private-sector partnerships.
