Founded in 1976, the Centre d’Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML) was set up to advance our knowledge of the role and functioning of our immune system. Over time, it has managed to develop an organization and practices that encourage creativity and risk-taking by its researchers, a factor that has gained it widespread international recognition.
Today, the CIML’s director Eric Vivier continues in this creative spirit by launching the concept of the Marseille-Immunopôle hub, a (future) newcomer to the immunology scene.
