ITER Business Forum 2013 (IBF)

The ITER International Business Forum, aimed at large corporations, SMEs and the scientific community, will this year be taking place on March 22 and 23 at the Palais des Congrès in Toulon.

Each edition of the ITER Business Forum has met with resounding success. More than 500 participants mainly from Europe and the project’s partner countries (India, Russia, Japan, United States, China, South Korea and Switzerland) are expected to attend the forum to find out about the latest site news, purchasing procedures and upcoming invitations to tender.

Of course, the ITER Business Forum (IBF) is above all a leading business networking event and an opportunity to make new contacts, find partnerships and forge business ties.

To this end, an online “one-to-one” platform has been put in place to arrange meetings, both between businesses (B2B) and between businesses and ITER Organization experts and domestic agencies (B2C).

In addition to a plenary session and several specialist, themed workshops (see the complete program here), the IBF is organizing a visit of the Cadarache site, an introductory tour of the Toulon area and sightseeing excursions in Provence as part of a stated intention to provide activities linked not just to the project itself but also to its surroundings.

Provence Promotion and the WOIC are taking part in the event through B2B meetings with companies that have the industrial skills specifically required for the ITER project. These will be followed by further discussions on matters such as business introductions, financial engineering and mobility.
