The Encapsulix Story Extending life expectancy is probably one of the main driving forces behind scientific research. And while biologists obstinately battle to delay human ageing, others are putting their talents to use to increase the life expectancy... of electronic components. It’s a sizeable market, and one that Jacques Kools is aiming to conquer from his base at Simiane in Provence. The founder of Encapsulix has come up with a new encapsulation process for protecting large surface area electronic components, such as solar panels and OLED (Organic Light-emitting Diode) screens, that is both cheaper and longer-lasting.
