Could the mobile telephone replace the famous chic ticket in the Paris metro? The RATP is already doing experiments … at the initiative of Inside Contactless, like similar experiments in 14 other countries in the world. The Contactless Company was created in 1995 with its head office in Aix-en-Provence, and it is the only company exclusively dedicated to contactless technologies on the market. It looks simple and easy to use, and yet it is nothing extraordinary to look at. However, its simplicity hides great talent. The proof? The mobile telephone designed by Bazile Telecom has been awarded a number of prizes including the “Coup de Cœur Incubateurs 2007” (2007 Company Nurseries Award) at the Cap Innovation competition and it was elected the "Best mobility project" at the PACA 2008 TIC innovation competition. Jean-François Peyre, founder, doctor and engineer (sic!) designed and developed the Bazile solution at the heart of the now very productive company nurseries in Pontet (Meyreuil). download the article

Solicited by Provence Promotion for the "Home Sweet Home" program, Jacques SOUQET of SUPERSONIC IMAGINE and Thierry VALET of IN SILICIO won 1st and 2nd prize at the 16th CREA13 Awards organized by the Conseil Général des Bouches-du-Rhône. SUPERSONIC IMAGINE specializes in the development of a new generation of ultrasound that generates several thousand images per second (instead of several hundred). On this ultrasound platform, SUPERSONIC IMAGINE introduced transient elastography, which allows for the detection of subtle elasticity changes in tissue, prevention of potential anomalies, and reduction of biopsies. SUPERSONIC IMAGINE has a second line of development in the field of therapeutics: using ultrasonic energy to “burn” tumors located in organs. www.supersonicimagine.fr IN SILICIO develops and markets software solutions for numerical simulation of nano-fabrication processes that comply with the requirements of the micro and nano technology industries.
